TrueTrueCost is a static guide to storage prices. This page explains the little data involved in reading it, and what can happen when you click a partner link.

What this site is
TrueTrueCost publishes estimated storage costs. There is no account, no checkout, and no form that asks for your name, email, or phone number. We don’t collect your contact details to use the pages.
What we collect
The six-month calculator and the size quiz run in your browser. Numbers and answers you enter stay on your device and are not sent to us.
The ZIP check loads a Census crosswalk in your browser and reads the five-digit ZIP there. Submitting the form puts the ZIP in the page address, such as near.html?zip=78701. We do not add it to an account. The host may still keep an ordinary log of that address.
The host that serves these pages may keep ordinary technical logs — such as an IP address, browser type, and the page requested — to operate and secure the site. We do not use those logs to build a profile of you.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate traffic: pages viewed, approximate location and device, and the referral source. Google may set cookies or use local storage and similar technologies, as described in Google’s documentation. We do not use Google Analytics to collect names, emails, or phone numbers. The site still has no accounts.
We do not run our own advertising cookies.
Affiliate links and partner cookies
Some “compare” buttons are, or will become, affiliate or referral links. Those links are marked rel="sponsored". If you click one, you leave TrueTrueCost. The partner may set its own cookies or record the click so a commission can be attributed. We do not receive your name, and we do not control the partner’s cookies. A commission never changes the estimates we publish. See the affiliate disclosure.
We do not sell personal information
We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not keep a customer list to rent or trade.
California residents
If you live in California, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the CPRA, gives you the right to know, delete, and correct personal information a business holds about you, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of that information. TrueTrueCost does not sell or share personal information as those terms are used in that law. Because we do not keep a file of visitors, there is typically nothing for us to access, correct, or delete. If you believe we hold personal information about you, contact via the site and we will respond.
Children
TrueTrueCost is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date above.
